An brief analysis of the Juvenile Justice Act,2015

The nature and incidence of the crimes committed by juveniles has changed drastically over the years . In the wake of such circumstances there was a need for a new law to cope up with changing scenario. Juvenile Justice Act , 2015 was drafted and enforced with the same view . Since the bill was presented in the parliament it has been meted out extremely critical views, ignoring the merits of the Act and the prevailing situation in the society. The article attempts to present a different view compiled with a  neutral perspective. It examines the major amendments and brings out the flaws and strengths of the new Act .
